Michael Boothman — Up Close & Personal

Michael Boothman Presents "Up Close and Personal" Renowned Trinidad and Tobago guitarist and composer Michael Boothman invites audiences to an intimate evening of music on Sunday, July 26, at 7:00 p.m. at Cafe Blue, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain. The performance will feature fresh new arrangements from Boothman's celebrated Heaven album, along with previously unreleased original compositions. Joining Boothman will be acclaimed Trinidadian saxophonist and music educator Toni Paul, with special guest vocalist ROZE (pronounced Rose, like the flower). ROZE will perform two memorable selections from Michael Boothman's recordings of the 1980s: "What You Won't Do for Love" and "Waiting for Your Love." The evening will conclude with a vibrant tribute to the great calypsos of the 1970s, reimagined through contemporary orchestration, celebrating the enduring spirit, rhythm, and musical heritage of Trinidad and Tobago.
